BERRY OIL 2023-2024 NEW HEATING SEASON [Oct 2023]

It is that time of year again… time for a friendly visit from your local oil man 😊

 

DELIVERIES

​We operate Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  

 

Our delivery schedule will remain the same.  Please monitor your tank gauge and notify us in advance so we can deliver when in your area.  We cannot guarantee delivery if you call the same day, but if you know the day we are in your area, we will schedule you for a delivery.

 

  • Monday – Fayette, Wayne 

  • Tuesday – all others 

  • Wednesday – Readfield

  • Thursday – all others 

  • Friday – Mt Vernon, Vienna

The best ways to contact us for fuel delivery:

 

If you call our number, you may not get a live person, but you can leave a voicemail message. Please leave your name, how much fuel you need, and a contact number if we need to contact you. 

 

We cannot guarantee a price, so if you call on a Thursday and we are in your area the following Monday, we cannot guarantee Thursday’s pricing on Monday.  The fuel prices are subject to change regularly; we post prices on our website and on FaceBook.

 

Please keep in mind the following:

  • We are a COD business, which means payment is due at time of delivery.  We accept payment by cash, check or by credit card.

  • If you have a balance due, we cannot deliver more fuel unless your prior balance is paid.

  • We do not have a minimum delivery, so if you would like to order a dollar amount [IE: $200] rather than gallons, we can work with you.

  • A good gauge is anything below a half tank; it’s good practice not to let your tank get too low or run out of fuel. 

  • Reminder to have your furnace cleaned every couple of years.  We do not provide service, however, we partner with vendors who can take care of your service needs.

  • In winter, please keep a path to your tank cleared and have road/driveway sanded for safety.

PAYMENTS

We pay a premium to offer the convenience of paying your bill online by credit card, and we do not pass these charges onto customers.  We would like to encourage customers to consider paying onlne or leaving a card on account with us.  There have been issues with delays with mail delivery.  Paying online is a convenient and efficient way to pay. 

 

Payment can be made by cash or check.  If you pay by check, payments need to be made within 10 days in order to avoid late fees.  We have self-addressed envelopes we leave with your invoice as a convenience in mailing your payment.  You can also leave a blank signed check when we deliver and we can fill in the amount for you.

 

We also can no longer allow customers to make partial payments after a delivery.   We are not a bank and we do not loan oil.  We expect you to pay when you receive your delivery.  

 

We are able to deliver a dollar amount instead of gallons if this works for you (IE $200 of oil instead of 100 gallons).  If we receive requests for fill-ups, we will ask you to pay in advance (check or prepayment online), especially if the amount will be a large amount.

HEATING ASSISTANCE INFO

​We continue to participate with the Maine HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) Program.  This program helps qualified homeowners and renters pay for heating costs, by helping to pay for fuel and emergency fuel deliveries. If you are eligible for HEAP, you may also qualify for energy-related repairs.

HEAP is currently taking applications and encourages households to apply as early as possible.  The funds are distributed on a first come first-serve basis.  If you would like Berry Oil to deliver your fuel (#2 Heating Oil or Kerosene only), please contact us for an account number.       

 

Other resources to contact for help with heating assistance include your local town office, food banks or churches.  If you know of a friend or neighbor who is having a hardship, you might consider making a donation.  We have gift cards available for any amount, at any time.
